The study's results show that much of the areas of concern are located within the Angeles National Forests and the Santa Monica Mountains. The Angeles National Forests make up the thick and dense band of 'area of concern' that spans from about a quarter to one-third of the northern part of the map. The Santa Monica Mountains are located on the southwestern part of the map. Both of the zones have the most densely populated areas of risk, in which several roads run through. This poses a lot potential infrastructure damage, and puts many households in harms way. These roads run through canyons wind between the mountains. Furthermore, the study shows that there are a significant amount of households and properties that are at risk of land slides, these locations are along the outskirts of the Angeles National Forest, around the Hollywood Hills, and Santa Monica Mountains.
